Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the National Aerospace Student Society ("NASS") portal at nassnigeria.org. By creating an account, submitting a form, registering for a programme or continuing to use the portal, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

1. Using the portal

You may use the portal for lawful, genuine NASS-related purposes. You must provide accurate, current information, use only your own account, and keep your login details confidential. You must not attempt to access another person’s account or data, interfere with security controls, submit malicious files, use automated tools to misuse the portal, or impersonate any person or organisation.

2. Membership applications and accounts

Submitting a membership application does not guarantee membership. NASS may approve, decline, archive, request a replacement document, or ask for additional information where needed to verify eligibility or protect the integrity of the Society. Information or documents that are false, misleading, forged or materially incomplete may result in refusal, suspension or cancellation of membership.

Approved members receive a personal digital membership record. It is not transferable, must not be altered or reproduced for deceptive purposes, and remains the property of NASS. NASS may correct, suspend or withdraw a record where there is an error, misuse, fraud, loss of eligibility or a legitimate administrative reason.

3. Events and attendance

Programme information, capacity, venue, timetable, speakers and access conditions may change. Registration records interest or reserves access only where the programme page says so; it does not guarantee entry if capacity, security, safety, eligibility or ticket conditions prevent attendance. Participants must follow venue rules, safety directions and reasonable instructions from NASS organisers.

Where a programme offers complimentary member access, it is personal to the approved member and subject to the stated allocation and deadline. Paid tickets, where introduced, will be governed by the published ticket terms and the relevant ticketing provider’s terms.

4. Competitions

Competition entries must follow the relevant published guidelines, rule book, eligibility requirements, deadlines and submission limits. A team lead or lead author is responsible for ensuring that all listed participants have agreed to be included and meet the requirements. NASS may verify eligibility, reject incomplete or late entries, request clarification, disqualify entries that breach the rules, and make reasonable programme changes.

Entrants retain ownership of their original work. By submitting an entry, they give NASS a non-exclusive permission to store, review, present to authorised judges, and use reasonable excerpts, names and non-confidential images for programme administration, reporting and promotion. Do not submit material that infringes another person’s rights or contains confidential information you are not authorised to disclose.

5. Content and intellectual property

The NASS name, logo, portal design, publications, graphics and other NASS content are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. You may view and share public content for personal, non-commercial and NASS-supporting purposes, provided you do not remove attribution or imply NASS endorsement. Any other use requires prior written permission from NASS.

6. Community standards

You must not use the portal or NASS communications to harass, discriminate against, threaten, defraud, spam, distribute unlawful material, or damage the reputation, safety or operations of NASS or others. NASS may restrict access, remove content, or report conduct where reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect participants or comply with law.

7. Third-party links and services

The portal may link to external websites, cloud-storage services, social platforms or ticketing providers. They are independent of NASS and have their own terms and privacy practices. NASS is not responsible for their content, availability, security or transactions; use them at your discretion.

8. Availability and liability

We work to keep the portal accurate, secure and available, but it is provided on an "as available" basis. We may interrupt, change or withdraw features for maintenance, security, operational or legal reasons. To the extent allowed by law, NASS is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the portal. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

9. Changes and termination

NASS may update these terms, portal features or programme processes when necessary. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. We may suspend or end access where there is a breach of these terms, a security risk, fraud, or another reasonable operational need.

10. Governing law and contact
